It has been my privilege to have seen Beegie many times performing in Nashville with her fabulous bass player. Most her recordings do not display her ability to play down and dirty improvisational jazz. She played what her producer thought would sell the best. I too am a jazz pianist and only dream that I might play like her. I refer to her using the Evil NYT's jazz critic John S. Wilson's 1958 description of Errol Garner upon hearing his all time great album CONCERT BY THE SEA. He wrote " Garner plays as if he has an orchestra in his lap." She does as well! Requiescat-in-pace!

Her music is so wonderful, It takes me to my happy place every time I listen to it! Oklahoma City.

Beegie's arrangements became the background music of our lives about 20 years ago. My wife and I saw her live 4 times. She's was as wonderful and authentic as her music. We miss her greatly.

Back in the 90's I'd find Greenhill CDs at stores..like Hallmark and such.. one day I bought Jack Jezzro Gershwin on Guitar .WOW.🥰😍🎆. bought Begee Adair..a FINE JAZZ PIANIST. these are long time studio musicians who never made the Big..but to me they are BIG! I'd fall out meeting these artists! Love the Music!!!
